Note: This is the one of two options for Docent 101. The same content will be covered at both workshops. Interested volunteers only need to attend one session.

Help share the stories of Kreische Brewery & Monument Hill! During Docent 101: Introduction to Interpretation, you'll learn:

What types of public programs can volunteers lead?
How do I become a qualified docent or program leader?
How do I lead fun, educational, and meaningful programs?
How do I share history with different types of audiences?
What tools and resources are available?

This workshop is required for any volunteer interested in leading guided tours, living history programs, or other public programs. In the weeks after this workshop, docents-in-training will shadow tours and programs, read history and training materials, meet with sites staff, and attend follow up workshops.
