Our volunteer program is regularly evolving to serve increased visitation, facilitate new and revised interpretive programs, and support maintenance initiatives. During this time of growth and opportunity, we’re lucky to have people like you involved in our Sites and programs.

The volunteer program falls under the direction of Sites Staff; however, the Friends organization plays a critical role in volunteer recruitment and supporting the program’s coordination. Below potential volunteers can explore opportunities and start the process of joining the team.

Current & Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities

With beautiful fall weather comes increased Sites visitation. Vol­unteers are providing a variety of visitor services, particularly as Sites Greeters in the visitors center and roving interpreters throughout the grounds. These volunteers greet visitors, help process admissions, and share the sites’ significance with new and expanding audiences.
